Disclosures

Last updated · May 22, 2026

Freedom Files exists to help you think clearly about residency, citizenship, and the structures that surround them. We take this work seriously. The disclosures below describe what we are, what we are not, and the relationships that sit behind our editorial and matching work.

We are not a licensed professional advisor

Nu Age Ventures, LLC (doing business as Freedom Files) is not a law firm, an investment adviser registered with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission or any state, a tax practice, or a licensed immigration consultancy in any jurisdiction.

Nothing we publish (on this Site, in our briefings, in our podcasts, in our profile-matching reports, or in private correspondence) constitutes legal, investment, financial, tax, or immigration advice. All information is provided for general educational purposes only and is subject to change without notice.

Before acting on any information we publish, you should consult a credentialed professional licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.

What we do

Freedom Files does three things, and only three things:

  1. We publish independent editorial content: articles, videos, podcasts, and an email briefing covering the residency, citizenship, taxation, and relocation landscape.
  2. We operate a profile-matching tool that produces a written shortlist of programs and jurisdictions that may be appropriate given the information you provide.
  3. We introduce qualified prospective clients to credentialed third-party professionals (local counsel, accountants, licensed migration consultants, and banking partners) who do the regulated work.

Our partner network

The professionals we introduce you to are independent businesses. They are responsible for their own work, their own compliance, their own engagement letters, and any advice they give you. We do not supervise their work, hold their malpractice insurance, or assume responsibility for outcomes.

We choose partners based on credentials, jurisdiction-specific track record, communication, and our own working experience with them. We do not list every available provider in every market. Our list is curated and deliberately small.

Compensation and referral arrangements

Freedom Files may receive a referral fee or marketing commission from certain partner professionals when you engage them following an introduction we made. The existence and amount of any such arrangement varies by partner and by jurisdiction.

These arrangements are disclosed to you at the point of introduction where required by law. They do not influence our editorial recommendations: a partner's commission terms are not a factor in whether or how we recommend them, and we routinely recommend partners with whom we have no commercial arrangement at all.

Editorial independence

We do not accept payment to publish favorable coverage of any jurisdiction, program, government, or provider. If a piece of content is sponsored or paid for, it is labeled clearly at the top of the page as "Sponsored." Sponsorship does not include review or veto rights over our writing.

Risks inherent to investment migration

Residency- and citizenship-by-investment programs carry risks that we encourage you to understand before commencing any engagement. These include but are not limited to:

  • Programs change or close. Governments revise eligibility, fees, processing times, and approved-investment categories, sometimes with little notice. Programs have been suspended, repriced, and closed within months of being announced.
  • Approvals are discretionary. Even where you meet published eligibility, approval is at the discretion of the issuing authority. Nobody (no consultant, no lawyer, no "approved agent") can guarantee an approval.
  • Investment performance is not guaranteed.Property, fund, and business-investment routes carry the underlying market risks of those assets. You may not recoup your investment in full.
  • Tax outcomes depend on facts you cannot fully control. Tax residency rules turn on day counts, center-of-life tests, and treaty interpretations that can change year to year.
  • Visa-free access lists change. The travel freedoms of any given passport are not static and can be revised by any visited country at any time.

No guarantees

We make no guarantees about the outcome of any program application, the performance of any investment, the future of any tax regime, or the continued availability of any jurisdiction. Past success on engagements we have worked on (our own or our partners') is no indication of future results on your engagement.

Currency, prices, and figures

Investment thresholds, fees, and other figures shown on the Site are typically denominated in US dollars or euros and are current as of the publication date of the relevant content. Exchange rates move; program fees are revised. Always confirm the current figures with the partner professional handling your engagement.

No solicitation in restricted jurisdictions

Nothing on the Site is intended as a solicitation of services in any jurisdiction where Freedom Files or any partner is not authorised to provide them. If you are accessing the Site from a jurisdiction where such solicitation would be unlawful, please disregard the Site.
